Status Report:

Changes to WI Shoreland Protection Rules (NR115)

These proposed changes will affect how communities administer building and land use ordinances.  The revised NR115 shoreland management rules will be sent to the Natural Resources Board this Spring.  If the Board approves the proposed changes, the rule will be sent to the Wisconsin State Legislature for consideration.  Once passed into law, counties and municipalities with new annexations since 1982; and newly incorporated villages and cities since 1994 will have two years to update their ordinances to comply with the new law and regulations.
